algorithm algo
Usage
harness algorithmAlgorithm is the Android rage ability. While it runs, your combat algorithm
computes every strike, so a block, dodge, deflect, hakai barrier or time skip
that would stop your attack has a 50% chance to fail and let your full hit
through.
> harness algorithm
Starts Algorithm in a fight. harness algo works too.
How it works:
- Only Androids can run it, and only while fighting, with no other rage ability
running, and not while dazed or frozen in time.
- It needs 50 rage and spends all 50 when it starts.
- It lasts 10 rounds, and 2 more rounds for each power tier you have reached,
so 30 rounds at the top tier.
- While it runs, these defenses each have a 50% chance to fail against your
attack: block, dodge, deflect, the hakai barrier, and the time skips of
Tremor Pulse and the Icer Dark Tremor. A defense that fails takes nothing off
your hit.
- When its rounds run out you see "The effects of your rage fade away." and
"Your combat algorithm completes its cycle and powers down."
- When the fight ends first, it stops with "Your rage subsides after the
battle."
- The cooldown is 3 minutes after a full run. After a fight that ends early it
is the share of 3 minutes you used, rounds used out of the full length,
rounded down to 5 seconds and never less than 5 seconds.
- When the cooldown ends you see "Your combat algorithm has recompiled. You can
run it again."
- Android NPCs run it on their own once their rage reaches 100 in a fight. It
spends all their rage, lasts 10 rounds, has no cooldown, and pierces your
defenses the same way.
Where you see it:
- harness lists algorithm with its rounds, the rage it requires and the rage it
costs. Below the list, your Algorithm line shows the 50% defense bypass and
the cooldown left, and the rounds left while it runs.
- Starting it shows "Your optics flare as your combat Algorithm engages,
computing every opening!", and the room sees your eyes flash with cold light.
- With less than 50 rage you get "You don't have enough rage to harness that
ability!". With enough rage while the cooldown runs, you get a line such as
"Algorithm is recompiling. 1:30 remaining."
- When your prompt shows rage, it adds ALGORITHM while it runs, see Prompt.
- With BattleSpam off you see a line each time your algorithm beats a block,
dodge or deflect. The hakai barrier and time skip lines always show, see
Battlespam.
