planets capture
Usage
planets | captureUniverse 7 has many planets that empires fight to control. A planet's value
adds to the owning empire's hourly revenue; for a planet split into districts,
that value is the sum of its districts.
Most planets are now divided into districts, captured one at a time rather than
all at once (see help districts). A few older worlds are still taken whole.
Either way you capture ground by driving its loyalty down, and only empires may
own it.
Commands:
PLANETS - Displays info on all planets and who controls them.
CAPTURE - Claims the district you are standing in, or a whole legacy
planet, once its loyalty is low enough.
- Ground can be captured once its loyalty falls to -90 or lower.
- On unclaimed ground, lower loyalty with a broadcast tower, or with a
sabotage propaganda campaign if you have no tower (see help sabotage).
A district held by a rival empire has its loyalty shielded by structure, so you
must sabotage its structure all the way to nothing before it can be captured.
- Only empire clan members may capture or own ground.
- Boss kills no longer change loyalty. Loyalty only rises on ground you
already own, through occupation, your active clan members holding it (a
rival standing there stops the gain). Occupation defends what you hold, it
never helps you capture, capturing is always about driving loyalty down.
- Capturing a rival's district resets its loyalty to neutral, cracks its
structure to half strength, and strips 5 random facility levels from it,
so its bonuses stay weakened until you repair the structure with district
repair and rebuild the lost levels with develop.
- Revenue is paid hourly. Loyalty also shifts each hour: unclaimed ground
drifts back up toward calm, while owned ground slips toward unrest. An owned
district left neglected at zero loyalty slowly loses structure and eventually
rebels on its own, evicting you and setting back its development, so keep
loyalty up by keeping your members present, this is occupation, and with
broadcasts (see help districts).
