PFOCUSALL FOCUSALL
Usage
focus 'all'Buffing up one technique at a time is slow, and every focus makes you
pause before the next. The Focus Sweep queues them all with one command,
and each rank shortens the pause between them.
USING IT:
focus 'all' Queue every self buff you have learned
-- Stop a sweep partway through
The buffs are queued as ordinary commands and focused one at a time, so you
watch them land in order rather than all at once. Because they are ordinary
queued commands, the cancel command '--' stops the rest of the sweep.
THE THREE RANKS:
The pause between each focus is normally three seconds:
5 points Unlocks the sweep, and the pause drops to 2 seconds
15 points The pause drops to 1 second
25 points No pause at all, the whole sweep lands at once
Ten buffs by hand costs you thirty seconds. At rank 1 that is twenty, at
rank 2 it is ten, and at rank 3 it is immediate.
In combat there is no reduction at any rank. A sweep mid fight costs exactly
what focusing the same buffs by hand would cost, so the purchase saves you
the typing, never the tempo of a fight.
KONATSU SONGS:
A Konatsu holding an ocarina sweeps their songs as well, played on the
instrument in the same queue as everything else. Songs follow the same rule
as buffs, any you have learned is swept whatever its skill. Without an
ocarina in hand no song is swept at all.
Some songs are left out. Continuous songs are sustained states you choose
to stand in, only one runs at a time, so picking which stays your decision.
Healing Song is a heal, and a sweep does not heal. Verdant Song is a
cleanse you want to play the moment you need it, not spend on a buff up
when there is nothing to wash away. Illusion Tune turns you invisible, and
buffing up should never quietly change whether the world can see you.
WHAT THE SWEEP SKIPS:
Anything you have not learned at all. A technique you do know is
swept whatever its skill, so a sweep is also a fair way to train
the whole set at once, see below.
Buffs with more than half their duration still running. Anything
below half is topped back up, so sweeping again is never wasted.
Anything you cannot pay for when its turn comes. It says so, skips
that one with no pause, and moves straight on to the next.
Kenjutsu and Iron Will. They are opposing stances and you may only
hold one, so choosing between them stays your decision. Focus the
stance you want by hand, it still gains Lasting Focus time.
Battle Respite, which would sit you down into a meditation, and
every heal, every offensive focus, and every group spell. Note the
two group SONGS, Protection Ballad and Thunderstrike Rhapsody, are
swept, they are buffs you would focus before a fight anyway.
TRAINING WITH IT:
Buffs you have not mastered are swept along with the rest, and a partly
learned technique can still fizzle and burn half its ki. That is simply how
focus skills train, so the sweep doubles as a way to practise every buff you
know without typing each one in turn.
WORTH KNOWING:
Tremor Pulse and Hakai Barrier keep draining after they land, ki for the
one and god ki for the other. The sweep only checks that you can afford to
FOCUS them, so a habitual sweeper can start a drain they cannot sustain.
God ki buffs are swept too, and each one spends from the same pool that
Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego are entered with, so sweep with care before
you intend to transform.
