bosses
Usage
tokens redeem eventThere are currently four different types off bosses you can
encounter.
Area - These bosses can be found in the world in various areas
Some require defeating other bosses in the area to spawn.
These bosses typically drop fixed gear and sometimes tokens.
Event - The bosses are announced by King Kai when an event is
activated. There usually are more then one and you may have
to defeat some to progress the event to spawn the others.
These bosses always spawn on the overworld map that King Kai
mentions and have a time limit to defeat the event.
The current event running can be seen on the who list.
They typically drop fixed gear, tokens, and event points.
Solo Event - These bosses are spawn to any overworld planet
like normal event bosses. They however do not have a time
limit and remain in the world until defeated or a copyover.
They typically drop tokens and loot boxes.
Random - Rivals hunt you on the world maps as you travel.
They will not appear while you fast travel with 'survey', inside
cities, dungeons or buildings, while you are suppressed, or before
your base powerlevel reaches 1,000,000. Once one appears a cooldown
starts before the next, and 'eboss' shows how long is left.
A rival is sized to your base powerlevel, so it grows as you do, and
transforming does not change the rival you face. Each rival rolls
its own resistances, so some are weaker to autohits, skills or
combos than others. From Tier 7 a rival can rise as a Nemesis,
a far stronger foe that can recover once, hunts you down if you
flee, and drops double the zenni and tokens. A Nemesis is yours
alone. Only you and your own pets or clones can fight it, not even
your group can strike it. A Nemesis never appears while you are
grouped with another player or fused. Every Nemesis you slay with
your own killing blow counts toward the leader nemesis board.
Some rivals are RAID rivals. The chance of one grows with your
power, and about half of them carry five times the usual tokens.
Rivals drop tokens, zenni and loot boxes. Their zenni grows with your
power, and they can also drop crafting materials whose quality rises
with your power, occasionally legendary or celestial.
- Some bosses are AGGRO flagged and will attack anyone Tier 3+
and not Suppressed.
