OFFSET OFFSET_PL PLOFFSET
Usage
pshop offsetPL Offset softens the gain reduction that high BasePL characters suffer.
THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES:
Every PL gain you earn is trimmed once your BasePL passes 500 million.
You keep half of it there, and the share you keep shrinks steadily all the
way to 150 billion, where you keep only 1% of every gain. That is
where raiding characters live, and it is why a huge raid kill can barely
move your PL.
Offset is added directly onto the share you keep. It never reduces
anything, and it is worth the most exactly where the squeeze is worst.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY KEEP:
Out of every 1,000,000 PL a kill is worth before the reduction:
BasePL 0.0% 0.1% 0.5% 1.0% 2.5%
1B 498,361 499,361 503,361 508,361 523,361
10B 468,862 469,862 473,862 478,862 493,862
50B 337,759 338,759 342,759 347,759 362,759
100B 173,879 174,879 178,879 183,879 198,879
150B+ 10,000 11,000 15,000 20,000 35,000
Read the bottom row first. Past 150 billion BasePL you keep 10,000
of every million. One 0.1% purchase makes that 11,000, which is
+10% on every gain you will ever earn again. Filling the shop to the
2.5% ceiling makes it 35,000, three and a half times the gain,
permanently.
At 1 billion BasePL the same purchase moves 498,361 to 499,361.
Offset is not worth buying early. It is worth buying once the reduction
has real teeth.
A REAL EXAMPLE:
A SSJ4 Gogeta raid kill is worth roughly 24 million PL before the
reduction. For a character past 150 billion BasePL:
0.0% offset: 244,000 PL kept
0.1% offset: 268,000 PL kept
1.0% offset: 488,000 PL kept
2.5% offset: 854,000 PL kept
The exact figure moves a little from kill to kill, raid gains carry some
randomness, but the ratios above hold.
WHERE OFFSET COMES FROM:
pshop offset 0.1% per purchase, 25 purchases, 2.5% total
2.5% is a hard ceiling. It is the highest offset any character can
reach, and there is no other way to raise it.
Your offset is shown as PL Offset on 'status'.
