levels level experience exp xp

Your level does not measure your strength in CKMud. Players are level 1 or 2, and staff hold levels 3 to 10. What measures you is your Base PL and the tier it puts you in, then your remort and prestige levels. How it works: - Base PL is the power you have trained. Fights, training and other gains raise it; forms raise your maximum PL but not your Base PL. - Your tier comes from your Base PL alone, and Equipment lists the Base PL each tier needs. - Gear of a tier can only be worn once you reach that tier: "Only a powerlevel of <amount> or greater could wear that." - Some requests look at your tier too: request ultimate needs tier 6, see Boosted, Supreme and Ultimate. - While your Base PL is under 1,000,000 you count as a newbie. Once you pass it, newbie areas close to you with "Your Base Powerlevel is too high to go there anymore.", and rivals start to find you, see Rivals. - Remorting and prestige add levels of their own, see Remort and Prestige. Where you see it: - whois <name> shows a player's Base PL as Power, the name of their tier, and their remort and prestige levels. The tier names run Trainee, Adept, Warrior, Ascended, Sensei and Savior, then Legend for every tier above.
