How to Summon and Complete the Earth Raid Boss Lavos

Difficulty Scale: 7/10

Group Recommended: Tank, Sub-Tank, 2 Healers, 2 Heavy Damage Dealers (or adjust as needed)

Power Level Recommendation: At least 5b per person for survivability

Tip: Have one alt sit at the entrance so you don't have to search for it if you die.

Step 1: Obtaining the Ancient Gatekey

We start out on East Kai's Planet, where our job is to kill Magus for a potential Ancient Gatekey.

Directions: Make your way to East Kai's Planet via Snake Way, then the Other World overmap, or use IT to Joe. From Joe, head 2 South and 3 West, then enter the vortex. From East Kai, go 2 West and enter the vortex.

Inside East Kai's Training Vortex, head all North and enter the next vortex. You are now at the center of East Kai's Training Center. Here, you need to kill the bosses in order, starting East and moving clockwise. Killing one boss will summon the next. The boss list is below:

Boss List:

• Faith Vortex: Flea the Magician (PL: 50,000,000)
  • Potential Drop: Flea Vest (T1 Body)
• Loyalty Vortex: Slash the Swordsman (PL: 85,000,000)
  • Potential Drop: Slasher (T3 Slash Weapon)
• Obedience Vortex: Ozzy the Fool (PL: 120,000,000)
  • Potential Drop: Ozzie's Pants (T3 Legs)
• Magus the Cloaked Prophet:
  • First Form: PL 150,000,000
  • Second Form: PL 500,000,000
  • Potential Drops:
    • Magus Flowing Silver Hair (T4 Head)
    • Dreamreaper (T5 Slash Weapon)
    • Lump of Dark Matter Ore (600 Quality)
    • Ancient Gatekey

Note: Second Form Magus has Ultra Ego. The lower his PL gets, the harder he hits. He also uses "Nether Fist," which deals damage and heals him.

Tip: The Gatekey is a relatively rare drop. If it doesn't drop, return to the Faith Vortex and wait for Flea to respawn. Once you obtain the key, use the special command "activate gatekey" to spawn the world raid boss Lavos on the Planet Earth world map.

Step 2: Lavos, Destroyer of Life

• Lavos PL: 75,000,000,000
• Potential Gear:
  • Apocalypse Repair Kit
  • Apocalypse Vitamin
  • Destroyer of Life Spiked Pauldron
  • Staff of Zeal

How this fight goes: Hammer away, or wait for a chance Magus will spawn. Spawning Magus will initiate a secret ending.

Note: Once Lavos is defeated, you can enter his shell. It is recommended to have an alt stand at the entrance for quicker access if your main dies.

Step 3: Inside Lavos' Shell

Once inside, head North to meet Balthasar's Nu. The rooms to the West and East need to spell NU. West is "N," and East is "U." Return to Balthasar, and he will ask you to inspect 3 books in the correct order: East, North, West. Once completed, the rooms to the North will unlock.

The Fight:

• Lavos' Left Arm: PL 30,000,000,000 (Immune to Physical Damage)
  • Drops: Wis/Int Tablets
• Lavos' Right Arm: PL 30,000,000,000 (Immune to Ki Damage)
  • Drops: Spd/Str Tablets
• Lavos' Body: PL 100,000,000,000
  • Potential Items:
    • Rainbow Shard (Material)
    • Apocalyptic Heatsink (Android Only Item)
    • Orb of Reckoning
    • Belt of Unbridled Energy

Strategy: Heavy Ki users should take out the Left Arm while others focus on the Right Arm with Physical attacks. Once both arms are down, flee the fight and use the regen room to the South. If the arms are not defeated, you will be unable to flee. If Magus is in the party, he will tank the body while others regen.

Final Bosses:

• Left Bit: PL 1,000,000,000
• Lavos' Core: PL 25,000,000,000
• Right Bit: PL 150,000,000,000

Potential Items: Royal Headdress of Zeal, Str/Spd/Int/Wis Tablets

Note: The Left Bit is quick to kill, and the Core is vulnerable but randomly changes targets, so better hope your Tank is quick with the rescues. The Right Bit is only vulnerable while the Core is down. You should first kill the Left Bit, then the Core, this will make the Right Bit enter a state where it is highly vulnerable. During this state hit the right bit with everything you have. If it resurrects the Left Bit and Core, you will have to switch TARGET and kill them again. Rinse and Repeat to finish the fight.

Secret Boss: Lavos the Dream Devourer

If you spawned Magus during the Lavos fight and kept him alive, you can search the Earth map for this secret world boss event. Also you can use Magus as the tank for this fight as well to absorb alot of this bosses damage, and also to get Magus weak enough to kill easily. Just be sure to kill Magus before Lavos.

• Potential Items:
  • The Dreamsmasher
  • Mask of Night Terror
  • Dream Containment Field
  • The Moonshades of Zeal

Note: Most items are Tier 8. Once picked up, they cannot be traded, sold, or auctioned. Dice roll everything.
