How to unlock the boss raid: Maui

This quest is both challenging and rewarding. It features 5 zones to autobot, 4 bosses, and 1 raid boss. The Frozen Valley is located in the most northwestern part of the map. Use the survey command: survey 1 fly.

Step 1: Entering the Frozen Valley

Upon entering the Frozen Valley, head east once. You will see this message:

"You feel something brush against you as you enter the room."

Use an AoE skill to start a fight with Zarak the Eternal. Upon defeating him, he will drop Zarak's Claw, a quest item.

Step 2: The Frozen Forest

Continue into the next zone, the Frozen Forest. In the middle of this area, find the Old Frozen Shrine. Use the search command until you locate a Sorcerer's Stone. Ensure you have both Zarak's Claw and the Sorcerer's Stone in your inventory before proceeding.

Step 3: The Frozen Core

Enter the Frozen Core and head west to face Tefiti. Defeat her to obtain Life's Glow, a quest item. Next, head east to the Pillar of Life and say return. You will be transported back to the Old Frozen Shrine. At this point, junk the Sorcerer's Stone to transform it into the Matau Pendant. Proceed east to enter the Frozen Depths.

Step 4: The Frozen Depths

In the Frozen Depths, defeat Tamatoa to acquire the Heart of the Ocean. Once you have it, junk the Matau Pendant to obtain the Tiki Pendant. Head west to the Pillar of Water and say return, then move south into the Frozen Fissure.

Step 5: The Frozen Fissure

In this zone, defeat Te Ka to obtain the Burning Hatred quest item. Afterward, junk the Tiki Pendant to transform it into the Koru Pendant. Head north to the Pillar of Flame, say return, and proceed down into the Afatauri Village.

Step 6: Finding the Smith

Once you reach the village, head one room south. A message will prompt you:

"Find the smith.... Find him!"

Follow the path to the beach. You will see Maui, but you cannot reach him yet. Navigate the ocean maze starting south of Maui using this sequence: e, s, e, s, e, n, w, s, e, n, w, s, s, w, w, search, w, w, n, w. At the search location, you may also find a pearl for crafting. At the end of the maze, you will find the Afatauri Smith.

Step 7: Crafting the Pendant of Afatauri

Follow the smith's instructions, giving him the required quest items in this order: Zarak's Claw, Life's Glow, Heart of the Ocean, and Burning Hatred. Once completed, you will receive the Pendant of Afatauri. This item will dissipate the force field around Maui.

Step 8: Facing Maui

Maui is a formidable raid boss with a power level of 100 billion. Defeating him completes the quest. Good luck!
