Dr. Gero’s Laboratory Quest Guide

Location: Earth

Reward: Boss loot drops

Step 1: Into The Lab

On Earth, head to Dr. Gero’s lab and descend into the Alpha Lab. Head south until you find an intercom. Say the password “Cell”. You’ll be teleported to the Secret Lab, where you will need to kill J5 model robots until they drop an omega class thermocouple. This will be automatically picked up when it drops.

Take the thermocouple northwest to the scientist who requested one and give it to him. He will open a door that allows you to move further down.

Step 2: Android Culling

Here you will find several bosses that must be defeated to unlock the next part of the quest:

Android 16
Drops: Shoulder, chest, Capacitor

Android 17
Drops: Neck, Feet, CPU

Android 18
Drops: Body, Reactor, Ears

Android 19
Drops: Wrist, legs, Module

Android 20
Drops: Wrists, head, Heatsink

Step 3: The Imperfect Being

After defeating all five Androids, head all the way south and go down. You will find Imperfect Cell. Kill him for the following possible drops:

Imperfect Cell
Drops: Tail, Finger

Step 4: You’re Either Perfect, or You’re Not Him

On rare occasions, after killing Imperfect Cell, Perfect Cell will spawn on the overworld map of Earth. Exit the lab by heading north of Imperfect Cell and flying to the world map. Hunt Perfect Cell down using the Sense command.
