Battleground Crater Guide

This guide walks you through the steps to make an item remortable by completing the quest in the Battleground Crater. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure success.

Starting the Quest

First, head to Namek and locate the Battleground Crater. You can use the survey command to find it. Once inside, head to the middle of the crater and go down to meet A Decrepit Old Man. Listen to his prompts and follow his instructions.

Required Bosses and Fragments

To complete this quest, you’ll need fragments dropped by the following bosses:

Te Ka (Frozen Valley)
Fragment: Fragment of Heaven
Guide: Refer to the Frozen Valley Guide.

Tiamat the Chromatic Dragon (Mount Thunder)
Fragment: Fragment of Power
Guide: Refer to the Mount Thunder Guide.

Damaru (Demon Clan Spires)
Fragment: Fragment of Strength.

Note: Fragments are on a timer, so ensure you’re prepared before starting.

Next Steps

After obtaining the first two fragments, return to Namek and locate the Demon Clan Spires. Use the survey command if needed. Inside, head north until you reach Dragon Clan Mystic Celesta. Follow her scripts and seek out the bosses. If the bosses are not present, other players may be attempting to spawn World Boss Celesta for the Noxious Breath skill.

Once you have all four stones, return to Celesta. She will take them, and you’ll be transported north to face Damaru, the Demon Clan General. Damaru has two forms, and upon his death, he drops an urn. Return to Celesta for a surprise and collect the final fragment.

The Battleground Crater

Return to the Battleground Crater with all the fragments. The Decrepit Old Man will ask if he can trust you. Say "yes", and he will present you with a riddle. The answer to the riddle is "You are Merlin". Prepare for a fight with Rathnor. Upon defeating him, he will drop the Philosopher's Stone.

The Ancient Cavern

After acquiring the Philosopher's Stone, you will receive this message: "A strange sensation originating from the Ancient Cavern seems to beckon the Philosopher's Stone." Head to Planet Vegeta and search for the Ancient Cavern using the survey command. You will also need to purchase an Essence from a Dying Star using the eshop command.

Once inside the Ancient Cavern, follow the path until you reach a fork. Head down into a humid cavern, then continue east and deeper into the cavern until you meet Kurogane the Legendary Blacksmith.

Final Steps

Make sure you have the T5 or lower item you wish to remort. Follow Kurogane’s instructions:

1. Say "yes" when he asks if your intentions are pure.
2. Give him the Philosopher's Stone.
3. Give him the Essence from a Dying Star.
4. Finally, give him the item you wish to remort.

Congratulations! You have completed the quest and successfully made your item remortable.

Tips:

It is highly recommended to complete the Mount Thunder portion first, as the bosses there can be challenging and their scales are required for the quest. Failing to manage the fragment timers effectively can cause delays.
